Window profile marking on a conveyor

Synchronised with a variable extruder speed. The solution was rolled out across the whole plant.

Window-profile extrusion line: the laser marker column with its touch screen at the profile outlet

Case

Window profile coded by line signal (Tyumen)

Repeatable marking with no manual steps: the operator does not take part, and the code lands in the same place on every profile regardless of extruder speed. The solution was rolled out across the whole plant — 9 lines for one customer.

Line components

What goes on an extrusion line

Sync with variable speed

The extruder runs unevenly, so timer marking drifts. Measuring rollers read the actual web speed and the code lands exactly where it should.

CCD positioning

The camera finds the item or a reference mark, calculates coordinates and tilt angle and passes them to the control system — the code lands straight even if the profile runs offset.

A unit above the conveyor

The marking module mounts above the existing line. Neither the plant layout nor the conveyor mechanics need changing.

Rolling out to neighbouring lines

A unit designed once is then repeated on other lines: at a window profile plant that covered nine lines.

Why us

Why profile makers come to us

Extrusion runs at a floating speed, and off-the-shelf timer marking simply does not work here. We build a unit for one line and then repeat it on the neighbours — that is how nine lines came about.

Our own workshop

We make mounts and non-standard assemblies ourselves — no waiting for a supplier and no bending your line to fit an off-the-shelf solution.

Own software

PPKLink and PPKVision are ours. 1C integration needs no outside developers.

One contractor

Design, supply, installation, commissioning and shift training in one pair of hands — no passing the buck.

FAQ

Answers before the call

What if the extruder speed fluctuates?

It always floats — that is what the synchronisation is for. The rollers read the actual web speed and the code lands in place. A timer will not do: it drifts.

How long does installation take on one line?

The unit above the window profile conveyor was installed in six hours during a shift change. Installation happens in an agreed planned window and the line does not stand idle beyond the norm.

Does the marking rub off during pulling and packing?

The laser changes the material itself rather than laying paint on top, so the code does not rub off during pulling. The line footage shows this separately.

Can the same units be added to neighbouring lines later?

Yes. At a window profile plant the solution was scaled to nine lines, and not one stood idle beyond the norm.

Station quote

Let us scope your line

Only name and phone are required — an engineer takes it from there. You get the station layout, equipment list and price range. Free, within a working day.

Line and equipment already in place, only software needed? PPKLink is sold separately

Want a ballpark figure first? What a station costs

An engineer answers, not a sales rep: one short call is usually enough to scope the station.
We will send the station scope and the order of figures by email.
