Marking plastic packaging and film

The module arrives on site assembled and tested. On a 24/7 plant the station was installed during a planned shift change — the line did not stand beyond the norm.

Case

Plastic packaging: installed during a shift change at a 24/7 plant

The marking station was installed in a matter of hours during a scheduled shift change. The customer's line did not stand idle for a minute beyond the norm. Stable high-speed operation with full print-quality control.

What goes onto a packaging line

A compact unit above the conveyor

It mounts above the existing belt. We do not touch the conveyor mechanics and do not change the plant layout — only a marking module is added.

UV laser for plastic and film

A 355 nm UV source gives a crisp code on plastic and flexible packaging with minimal heat — where the material is thin, that is the deciding property.

Inspection and rejection

The camera checks every DataMatrix right after marking. An item with an unreadable code leaves the belt before it reaches the pack.

Aggregation into a box

The box is filled by item codes, receives an SSCC and a GS1-128 label. Codes are read even through shrink film, and the conveyor does not stop for it.

Why us

Why they choose us when stopping is not an option

We assemble and test the rig at our own premises and arrive at the plant with a finished module. That leaves only installation on site — and it is installation that fits into a planned window, not a week of commissioning.

Our own workshop

We make mounts and non-standard assemblies ourselves — no waiting for a supplier and no bending your line to fit an off-the-shelf solution.

Own software

PPKLink and PPKVision are ours. 1C integration needs no outside developers.

One contractor

Design, supply, installation, commissioning and shift training in one pair of hands — no passing the buck.

FAQ

Answers before the call

Will production have to be stopped?

No. All rigging is assembled and tested at our premises in advance, and we arrive with a finished module. Installation happens in a planned window — usually a shift change or a weekend.

Does the conveyor need rebuilding?

No. The unit mounts above the existing belt and we do not touch the conveyor mechanics. The plant layout stays as it is — a marking module is added.

How fast is it done on site?

At a 24/7 plant the station was installed during a shift change — the line lost not a minute beyond the planned window. Timings for your line are worked out during the audit.

What is used to mark film and thin plastic?

A UV laser at 355 nm: it produces a crisp code with minimal heating, which matters where the material is thin.

Is aggregation into boxes needed?

If you need it, we add it to the same station: a case is filled from item codes and gets an SSCC and a GS1-128 label. Aggregation cameras read codes even through shrink film, without stopping the conveyor.

Let us scope your line

Only name and phone are required — an engineer takes it from there. You get the station layout, equipment list and price range. Free, within a working day.

Line and equipment already in place, only software needed? PPKLink is sold separately

Want a ballpark figure first? What a station costs

An engineer answers, not a sales rep: one short call is usually enough to scope the station.
We will send the station scope and the order of figures by email.
